The diabetes-heart problem connections are a dreadful tangle. I visited the diabetes doc Tuesday and had an A1C reading of 5.5. Fabulous, thinks I. It equates to and average blood sugar reading of 97 for the last 3 months. What I learned was this is a terrible reading for a person with heart problems. It needs to be 6.5, I was told. This equates to an average of 130 blood sugar reading. A reading above 6.5 is the diagnosis of diabetes. Readings less than 6.5 cause heart problems, including clogging the stent.
So I am between a rock and a hard place. I apparently have to hold a very steady blood sugar average of 130. It will be some time before I can accept this situation. The only good news is that I will probably get rid of one of my diabetes drugs. That is the only good news. I will probably attempt to keep my A1C somewhat under 6.5 to minimize the circulation and eye problems. It is what it is.

I can't help but think that the recent weather patterns (captured so beautifully in your pictures) and your commentary on miracles are somehow connected. We truly never know what to wish for do we! Wish I could help make sense of it all for you. If I could help, you know I would! Love, KT
